Leap of Faith

The brief I was given was to design the illustration for the book 'Leap of Faith'. It was to show a woman and child walking down a tunnel to an uncertain future; the woman being anxious and the child excited. This was the result.

Consequences

The brief I was given was to design a replacement cover for the book 'Consequences'. It was to show a baby in embryo and use DNA. Inspired by the Star Child of 2001, I replaced the baby's placenta with a strand of DNA. This was the result.

Dust to Dust

The brief I was given was to follow the style of the existing series and produce an image of Bita’gi—a land about as close to 'Hell' as you can imagine. It should feature the malevolent eyes of Bitah. This is the result—a hellish scene of lava overlooked by a pair of eyes. The eyes are too far apart to be human but then Bitah is not human. The rings intertwined on the back cover symbolise the marriage which takes place near the end of the book.

The Triplet Crest

All of the A Vested Interest books show a crest on the spine or front cover. The only book without it on the spine is 'Dark Secrets'—and that has a guilded version on the front cover. In heraldry only a limited number of colors are allowed.
